Amanda Slaunwhite - British Columbia, Director

Amanda Slaunwhite is an Assistant Professor in the School of Population and Public Health at UBC where she has led research focused on drug poisoning, substance use, and the health of incarcerated people in BC for the last five years.

Amanda's contributions are driven by her lifelong experiences with depression, and caring for her Dad and family. Amanda has recent experience on the Board of Unlocking the Gates Non-Profit Society and is committed to working with people who use substances and their families. 

Amanda is human to 3 rescued guinea pigs who share her home office (living room).
